A landlord in Chicago has fatally stabbed a six-year-old Palestinian boy on Saturday, allegedly because the tenants are Muslim. The horrific incident comes as attacks continue to escalate in Palestine.
The 71-year-old, Joseph M. Czuba has since been arrested and charged with first-degree murder, two counts of hate crimes, and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
The sheriffs said that the recent events unfolding in Israel and Palestine were a factor in the hate crime and that the victims were “targeted by the suspect due to them being Muslim and the ongoing Middle Eastern conflict involving Hamas and the Israelis”, according to the news release.
